Programs The following UG degree programs are offered:
The B.B.A. Program is offered with subject-specific electives namely; Advertising and Communications, Banking, Capital Markets, Finance, HRM, Insurance and Sales and Marketing. The B.S. Programs are offered in areas such as Marketing, Finance, Banking, Insurance and Accounting. The B.C.A. Program is offered with electives in Software Quality and Testing, E-Business, Computer Graphics and Multimedia, Unix Administration, Network Programming. The B.Com. Program is offered with subject-specific electives namely; Accounting, Auditing, Banking, Capital Markets, Insurance, Law and Taxation. The B.A. Program is offered in ten disciplines namely; Economics, English, History, Journalism, Management, Mathematics, Political Science, Psychology, Public Administration and Sociology. The B.Sc. Program is offered in seven disciplines namely; Computer Science, Economics, Geography, Geology, Mathematics, Physics and Statistics. The B.G.L. Program is offered with electives in Environmental Law, Securities Law, Intellectual Property Law, Cyber Law, Labour Law, Banking Law, Insurance Law, Law of Arbitration and Conciliation. The B.L.Sc. Program is offered with focus on practical training. The B.J. Program is offered covering emerging fields of journalism. Program Structure The three year UG degree programs consist of 18 subjects divided into 9 groups of 2 subjects each. Of the total 18 subjects, 6 will be core subjects, common to all programs. The one year programs (like B.L.Sc. and B.J.) consist of 8 subjects divided into 4 groups of 2 subjects each. Detailed curriculum will be provided to all students through the Regulations book. Core Subjects Students of the specified UG degree programs (not applicable to BS and BCA Programs) are required to study for the following 6 core subjects, spread over 3 years. Details of these specified programs are indicated separately in the following pages.
Major and Minor Disciplines The students are required to indicate their major and minor disciplines (wherever applicable) within 3 months after their admission into the program. Validity of Enrollment The validity of enrollment into the program is seven years from the date of enrollment. Students who are unable to complete the program within the validity period of seven years, but still keen on continuing the program, are required to register de novo by paying the requisite fee. Students who study regularly and appear for examinations every quarter may complete the program in the specified time period. Students Regulations Book All students will be supplied with Students Regulations Book which contains the various rules and regulations including detailed curriculum, examination schedule, major and minor disciplines, etc. Study and Examinations The UG degree programs are based on self-study and examinations. Self-Study : The University provides a detailed study plan and prescribed books specially designed and published and meant for self-study. Examinations : The examinations serve to finally assess and certify the students' understanding of the subjects. |
